Donation Impact

Thank you for helping rebuild lives and restore HOPE!

Every donation directly supports housing, essential needs, employment assistance, and life-changing services for the clients we serve. Below, you'll see how your financial and in-kind contributions help restore dignity, create opportunity, and empower individuals to build a stronger future.

Every gift helps turn a house into a home and a fresh start into lasting change.

Financial donations

Many of the services that help our clients rebuild their lives require financial support. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your monetary donations help cover the costs of housing, transportation, employment assistance, essential supplies, case management, program operations, and other supportive services that create lasting change for our clients and communities we serve.

Transitional and Emergency Housing

Many arrive at Essence of Hope with only the clothes on their backs. Your donations help provide basic necessities needed to begin the journey toward stability & independence.

Clients receive hygiene kits with soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, & lotion. Additionally they receive new sheets, comforters, pillows, towels, & washcloths.

These items  do more than meet immediate needs—they  help create a safe comfortable space to focus on recovery, personal growth & rebuilding

Independent Self-Pay Shared Housing

Many clients do not qualify for subsidized housing and can't afford market-rate rent.

Through our Shared Living program, we provide safe, stable, affordable housing at reduced rates.

This allows clients to maintain housing security while working toward greater independence & long-term success.

Your financial donations prevent future homelessness & help create lasting self-sufficiency to bridge the gap between actual housing costs & rates paid by clients for housing & essential program operations.

Job Readiness

Securing an interview is an important milestone, but many of our clients face challenges that prevent them from taking the next step. Something as simple as transportation, interview attire, or personal grooming supplies can become a barrier to employment.

Through donor support, we help clients prepare for success by providing MARTA cards, professional clothing, & essential grooming items. These resources help ensure that when opportunity knocks, our clients are ready to answer with confidence.

Social Services

Financial donations support essential services that build stability & help clients access services, appointments, & opportunities for  lasting change.

Clients receive case management & help enrolling in Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, SSD & other key public benefits to support healthcare, nutrition, and basic needs.

We also provide food assistance, financial literacy, budgeting education, & life skills training focused on communication, goal setting, workplace expectations, & personal development.

in-kind donations

In-kind donations play a vital role in meeting the immediate needs of the individuals we serve. These contributions allow us to quickly provide essential items such as clothing, hygiene supplies, bedding, towels, and basic household goods. For many clients, these items are critical in restoring comfort, dignity, and a sense of stability as they transition into supportive housing. Your donations help ensure that each person is welcomed into a safe, prepared environment where they can focus on re

Home Readiness & Cleaning Supplies

Cleaning supplies play an important role in maintaining a healthy and stable living environment. Donations of disinfectants, detergents, mops, brooms, laundry supplies, dish soap, and other household cleaners help ensure that shared and independent living spaces remain safe, sanitary, and well maintained for all residents.

Clothing & Personal Care Items

Clothing and personal care items are essential in helping individuals restore dignity and confidence as they enter our program. Donations of clothing for all seasons, shoes, socks, underwear, coats, and jackets help ensure each client is appropriately dressed for daily life, employment, and community engagement.

Toiletries and hygiene products such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, and toothpaste also provide the basic necessities needed to support personal care and wellness.

Engagement & Wellness Items

Engagement and wellness items support emotional health, personal growth, and positive use of free time. Donations of books, board games, and puzzles provide constructive activities that encourage learning, relaxation, and healthy social interaction.

These items contribute to a supportive environment that promotes overall well-being and recovery.

Food & Pantry Support

Food and pantry donations help meet immediate nutritional needs and provide stability for individuals during their transition. Non-perishable food items such as canned goods, rice, pasta, cereal, and microwaveable meals help ensure consistent access to basic nourishment. Grocery gift cards also allow flexibility in meeting dietary needs and personal preferences.

“Your generosity doesn’t just support a program—it rebuilds lives.”
