Our IMPACT

Founded in 2007, Essence of Hope, Inc. is a community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing housing stability, economic self-sufficiency and successful reentry for vulnerable populations throughout the Atlanta and Metropolitan surrounding areas.

With nearly two decades of service, the organization has successfully managed public funding, developed strategic partnerships, and delivered programs designed to create long-term community impact.

Hilda E. Johnson (1951-2018)

We recognize your hard and tireless work in creating this beautiful organization. Established in 2007 your vision to ensure everyone you encountered had a roof over their head and food on their table, has paved the way for us to continue to provide a safe place for others to call home while overcoming life challenges.

Enduring five different battles with cancer, you continued to serve without complaint! Your last words "don't let Essence of Hope die with me," were not taken lightly!

We will continue to follow your lead and carry the torch from here, serving the homeless, feeding the hungry, and freeing others from addiction.

You have laid the foundation and example that we must be our brother's keeper.
