Dear Ms. Johnson,
We recognize your hard and tireless work in creating this beautiful organization. Established in 2007 your vision to ensure everyone you encountered had a roof over their head and food on their table, has paved the way for us to continue to provide a safe place for others to call home while overcoming life challenges.
Enduring five separate battles with cancer, you continued to serve without complaint!
Your last words "don't let Essence die with me," were not taken lightly!
We will continue to follow in your foot steps and carry the torch from here by serving the homeless, feeding the hungry, freeing others from addiction and helping to create economic opportunities for the under served.
